  • Alex Berry

    Alex Berry

    Chief Executive Officer

    As Chief Executive Officer of Seerist Inc., Alex Berry leads the company’s strategic vision and operational execution at a pivotal time of global expansion and innovation. With more than 25 years of leadership experience across high-growth software and technology companies, Alex is recognized for his ability to scale organizations, drive operational excellence, and foster high-performing, collaborative cultures.

    Prior to joining Seerist, Alex served as CEO of Applitools, a Thoma Bravo Portfolio Company, where he led the company through a transformative phase, expanding global operations, launching a next-generation AI-powered testing platform, and achieving record profitability. Under his leadership, Applitools evolved from a category leader in visual testing to a comprehensive end-to-end test automation platform.

    Before Applitools, Alex was President of Sonatype, a Vista Equity Partners Portfolio Company, where he played a key role in driving significant EBIDTA improvements, becoming a rule of 40 company and doubling ARR. His leadership helped position Sonatype as a global pioneer in software supply chain management, driving record-breaking growth and expanding its developer-first platform.

    Alex also served as EVP of Public Sector and EDU business unites as well as Chief Revenue Officer at Vector Solutions, a Genstar and Insight Partners-backed Company, where he was instrumental in scaling go-to-market operations and contributing to a successful exit at a premium valuation. Earlier in his career, he was President and COO of Syniti (formerly BackOffice Associates), backed by Goldman Sachs, where he helped lead the company’s strategic sale to Bridge Growth Partners. At Neustar (NYSE: NSR), Alex spent over seven years as part of the executive team that grew revenues from $50 million to over $1.3 billion, culminating in the company’s privatization.

    Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is deeply committed to philanthropy and community service, serving on the Regional Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society and supporting the Conquer Cancer Foundation alongside his wife, Nancy.

    He resides in North Palm Beach, Florida, and is a proud father of two sons: one a professional baseball player in the Cleveland Guardians organization, and the other a professional golfer who is a rookie on the Korn Ferry Tour.

  • Kevin Welch

    Kevin Welch

    Chief Financial Officer

    Kevin brings more than two decades of experience leading finance organizations across technology, global information services, and mission-driven public-sector organizations. His background includes roles as CFO, Treasurer, and SVP of FP&A at large publicly traded companies, high-growth technology firms, and global nonprofits, experience that will be instrumental as we scale Seerist’s operations and expand our impact.

    Throughout his career, Kevin has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to modernize financial systems, strengthen financial governance, improve reporting and forecasting rigor, and help organizations navigate complex periods of growth, restructuring, and investment. At 2U (Nasdaq: TWOU), Kevin led the company’s financial planning and treasury functions, supported SEC filings and public guidance, played a leadership role in the $800M acquisition of edX, and helped raise more than $1.3B in capital to fund strategic initiatives and strengthen the balance sheet.

    His prior executive roles include serving as CFO of SourceAmerica and TechnoServe, where he oversaw global finance operations, redesigned financial processes and systems, and provided financial leadership to boards and audit committees. Earlier in his career, Kevin held key finance and investor-relations roles at Neustar, Global Telecom & Technology, MeriStar Hospitality, Qwest, and MCI, with accomplishments ranging from major capital markets transactions to large-scale reorganizations, M&A integration, and significant operational improvements.

    Kevin holds an MBA in Finance from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

  • Barry Saadatmand

    Barry Saadatmand

    Chief Revenue Officer

    As Chief Revenue Officer at Seerist, Barry Saadatmand oversees the company’s go-to-market strategy, leading Sales and Customer Success outside the U.S. Federal and State & Local markets, as well as Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Technical Presales. A seasoned growth-stage CRO, Barry brings more than 25 years of experience building and leading high-performing SaaS and cloud software sales teams.

    Before joining Seerist, Barry spent 4 years as CRO of BlueCat, where revenues nearly doubled under his leadership.  During this time, Barry played a key role towards successfully securing a strategic private equity capital investment for BlueCat. Before Bluecat, Barry spent over 8 years at PingIdentity as VP of Sales where the company grew from 75 employees to over 1,000 during his tenure culminating in a successful IPO on the New York Stock exchange.

    Barry holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from James Madison University, where he remains actively involved in development, mentoring, and other alumni activities.

  • John Goolgasian

    John Goolgasian

    President, Seerist Federal

    As President and a board member of Seerist Federal, John Goolgasian leads all U.S. government operations, driving strategy and execution across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Homeland Security, Department of State, federal civilian agencies, and state organizations. His leadership ensures that Seerist delivers AI-driven threat and risk intelligence that supports critical national security and public safety missions.

    John co-founded Geospark Analytics (a predecessor to Seerist) in 2017 following his role as Associate Partner at OGSystems, where he launched an artificial intelligence R&D initiative focused on automating global threat and risk assessments. This work led to the creation of Geospark Analytics, where John served as President and Chief Growth Officer from 2017 to 2022. Under his leadership, the company secured a $95 million U.S. government IDIQ contract and introduced technology now relied on across defense, intelligence, and federal agencies as well as Fortune 2000 companies and NGOs.

    Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, John built a distinguished two-decade career in U.S. government service at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).  He directed NGA’s Source Operations and Management Directorate and the Foundation GEOINT Group, and earlier served as Director of the Office of Counterterrorism and Senior Advisor to the U.S. Coast Guard’s Assistant Commandant for Intelligence. He began his career in 1993 and quickly advanced into senior executive roles.

    Throughout his career, John has been recognized for exceptional leadership and innovation, receiving the National Intelligence Certificate of Distinction and the Meritorious Presidential Rank Award as a Defense Intelligence Senior Executive.

    John holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography from Mary Washington College and a postgraduate degree in Strategic Intelligence from the Joint Military Intelligence College. He lives in Leesburg, Virginia, with his family where he enjoys biking and hiking and continues to mentor emerging leaders in the national security and technology communities.

  • Matt McKnight

    Matt McKnight

    Chief Technology / Chief AI Officer

    Matt McKnight brings nearly 30 years of technical and business leadership experience, as well as knowledge of counter-terrorism, cybersecurity, and intelligence, to Seerist, where he leads the charge in its risk intelligence platform’s data revolution. With expertise in machine learning, computational linguistics, geospatial systems, data analytics, and building scalable systems, he ensures that Seerist is better, faster, and more cost effective than its competitors. Prior to Seerist, Matt was the Chief Data Scientist at Geospark Analytics; Vice President, Solutions Development at Noblis NSP; Executive Vice President, Mission Solutions for National Security Partners; President at LMN Solutions. He has also consulted for Osparna and DeepSequence.

    Matt graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science from the University of Virginia. More recently he received a certificate of achievement in Scalable Machine Learning, a course of study offered by BerkeleyX. He is currently a member of WashingtonExec’s Artificial Intelligence Council, a group of AI experts that help champion and advance the industry.

    Tim Roots

    Chief Product Officer

    As Chief Product Officer at Seerist Inc., Tim leads the company’s product and intelligence strategy, driving innovation at the intersection of technology, intelligence, and security. Recognized for his ability to embed the customer perspective into every stage of product development, Tim ensures Seerist delivers scalable, market-leading solutions trusted by thousands of global intelligence and security professionals.

    Prior to Seerist, Tim was a Partner and Global Head of Online Solutions at Control Risks Group, where he oversaw the transformation of the CORE platform into what is now Seerist. Earlier, as Global Strategy Director at Control Risks, he spearheaded innovation, partnerships, and productization initiatives across multiple consulting lines.

    Tim has also served as COO of Montoux, a SaaS actuarial pricing platform for life insurers, where he managed global operations and strategic partnerships. Under his leadership, Montoux established go-to-market alliances and product integrations with several Fortune 100 companies across four continents.

    He began his career as a country analyst within the New Zealand Government’s trade arm, rising to Strategy Director. In this role, he led inter-governmental task forces, expanded New Zealand’s global trade network, and represented the agency on numerous establishment programs including with the OECD’s green growth agenda. This passion for environmental policy innovation stemmed out of Tim’s formative time with the Climate Disclosure Standards Board in London.

    Tim holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Regulation (Distinction) from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree with honors in International Business from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He lives in London with his wife Kate and their son.

  • Brett Antonides

    Brett Antonides

    Chief Architect

    Brett Antonides is an engineer with a passion for data, innovation and solving software engineering and analytical problems. He brings more than 20 years of experience to Seerist where he strives to evolve Seerist’s data and software architecture to allow customers to more effectively benefit from the organization’s unique combination of human and artificial intelligence generated insights.

    Prior to his role at Seerist, Brett helped drive innovation in the DOD and Intel communities for the US Government, NATO, and multiple venture-backed companies. He is a Cum Laude graduate of Princeton University with a Masters of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

  • Stephanie Lindert

    Stephanie Lindert

    Controller

    Stephanie Lindert is the Global Controller at Seerist and is responsible for managing the finance department and ownership of the systems and controls for financial, treasury and tax reporting. Before joining Seerist’s finance team, Stephanie worked in the industrial manufacturing industry at Dover Precision Components for seven years in their controllership team and in the entertainment industry as an Accountant at Marcus Theatres Corporation.

    Stephanie received her Master of Business Administration and Management from Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business, the graduate business school of Rice University, and a dual Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Winona State University.

    In her role as Head of Product, Agnes Boros brings products visions to life and ensures clients receive the best solution to manage their risk intelligence needs. With 15 years of industry experience, Agnes is skilled at managing the product life cycle, from strategy definition through to delivery, go-to-market, client support and maintenance.

    Before joining Seerist, Agnes was employed with Control Risks for over 13 years where she served as Partner, Director, Programme Manager, Senior Consultant, Account Manager, and Project Manager. During this time, she managed Control Risks’ first digital transformation programme and led all areas of product management for its digital subscription service. She is a graduate of Corvinus University of Budapest where she earned a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs.

    Melissa Newberg

    Head of Intelligence

    Melissa Newberg, Seerist’s Head of Intelligence, brings over 15 years of experience in public policy and intelligence analysis. She is passionate about integrating security and risk management strategies with broader business objectives, working closely across teams to address complex challenges.

    Before joining Seerist, Melissa held senior leadership roles at Meta, including Global Protective Intelligence Manager, where she developed proactive security solutions for a highly dynamic threat environment. Her background also includes key roles with the U.S. House of Representatives and as United States Air Force civilian at the Pentagon and in Europe, where she further refined her expertise in intelligence and security. Melissa holds a BA in International Relations from SUNY New Paltz and an MA in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Manchester.

    Jesper Cullen

    Head of Research

    As Global Head of Research at Seerist, Jesper Cullen spearheads the curation of all sources on the Seerist platform and partners with clients to build bespoke source collection plans. Jesper leads a team of researchers in the identification of networks of disinformation in an effort to help clients navigate an increasingly complicated and opaque media environment.

    Before joining Seerist, Jesper was Head of SIAS Operations at The Risk Advisory Group, overseeing security intelligence analysis services and holding roles as Associate Director of Intelligence & Analysis and Senior Analyst. Earlier in his career, he worked as a journalist in East and Central Africa. He holds a Master of Science in Finance – Economic Policy from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor of Science in Commercial Law and Economics from Copenhagen Business School.

    Thomas Holwell

    Vice President of Global Customer Success

    Thomas Holwell oversees Seerist’s global customer success, ensuring all clients derive the utmost benefit from the Seerist platform. He has extensive experience in leading and growing successful sales and account management teams, and applied knowledge of how to develop, deliver, and drive adoption of a product within a user base that has complex, dynamic threat monitoring requirements.

    Prior to Seerist, Thomas served as Product Manager and Government Sector Lead for Informa, Director of Online Solutions and Senior Consultant of Online Solutions at Control Risks, and Sales Manager and Senior Account Manager at Jane’s by IHS Markit. He earned both a Master’s degree (in Terrorism, Security and Society) and a Bachelor’s degree (in War Studies) from King’s College London.

    Before Seerist, he held multiple titles at GeoSpark Analytics, including Head of Global Partnerships, Director of Sales, and Business Development Manager. Kevin also spent over five years at Global Rescue LLC working as a consultant, manager, and senior associate where he gained valuable experience in all facets of lead generation, marketing and sales strategy, and revenue growth. Kevin graduated from Bates College with a Bachelor of Arts in History with a concentration in Physics of the Large and Small and Material Culture.

    Sara Snelgrove

    Vice President of Revenue Operations

    Sara Snelgrove is the Vice President of Revenue Operations at Seerist. Before joining Seerist, Snelgrove gained extensive experience in revenue operations, most recently as Vice President at BlueCat. She also led teams at LogRhythm as Senior Manager of Revenue Operations. Earlier in her career, Snelgrove held a range of roles at Ping, where she advanced through positions in product operations, sales operations, and revenue accounting, contributing to the company’s growth and operational success.

    Snelgrove has a MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Banking and Finance from the University of Georgia.

  • Kristen Hajduk

    Kristen Hajduk

    Vice President of Federal Business Development

    Kristen is the Vice President of Business Development and Capture at Seerist. Previously, Kristen helped stand up the DoD and IC Business Unit at MicroStrategy, and was the Federal Lead for Golden, and Andreessen-Horowitz-backed startup. With over 15 years as an analyst and advisor at the Department of Defense, Kristen made significant contributions to Special Operations and Irregular Warfare policy, shaping strategies to address complex defense challenges. Notably, she played a crucial role in creating new authorities for support to Ukrainian special operators, published the first DoD-wide strategy on Irregular Warfare, and opened all Special Operations positions to women.

    Kristen is a fellow of several prominent national security organizations, including the Center for New American Security and the German Marshall Memorial Fund, and serves on various boards including the National Defense Industrial Association’s Special Operations/Low-Intensity Conflict chapter. Kristen holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Chicago and hails from Texas.

  • Brendan Slezak

    Brendan Slezak

    Lead Data Scientist

    Brendan Slezak is a Lead Data Scientist at Seerist where he oversees the research, development, and integration of machine learning and AI-based features into the Seerist platform. Prior to this role he was a Software Developer at Seerist’s predecessor where he collaborated to build a location-based intelligence platform that empowered better decision-making by providing actionable insights to the world’s leading companies and governments.

    Earlier in his career, Brendan worked at OGSystems as a Software Developer and IT Administrator. During this time, he participated in the engineering a web application for managing government contracts, developed an advanced context-aware document search engine, and helped design and create a location-based intelligence platform that would eventually become the Seerist platform. Brendan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University.

    Monica Dorligh

    Senior Director Sales, EMEA

    Monica Dorligh leads Seerist’s sales efforts across the EMEA region, partnering with global corporations and government organizations to help them anticipate and manage risks to their people, operations, and assets. She brings extensive experience in complex SaaS sales cycles, multi-stakeholder engagement, and building trusted, long-term partnerships that deliver measurable value. Known for her consultative and relationship-driven approach, Monica invests heavily in understanding her clients’ operational realities, ensuring solutions are aligned to their objectives and deliver value well beyond the initial sale.

    Prior to Seerist, Monica served as Head of Business Development EMEA at Dragonfly and held progressive client-facing roles at The Risk Advisory Group, where she worked across intelligence, analysis, and business development. Earlier in her career, she contributed research to the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, the Human Rights Foundation of Turkey, and the International State Crime Institute. She holds a Master’s degree in Terrorism, Security and Society from King’s College London and a degree in Criminology from the Università degli Studi di Padova.

    As Director of Customer Success for the Americas at Seerist, Maggie Mitchell leads the company’s client engagement strategy across enterprise and educational institutions. She works closely with global security, protective intelligence, and crisis management teams to operationalize Seerist’s AI-powered intelligence capabilities and drive measurable outcomes. Since joining Seerist at its inception, Maggie has been instrumental in shaping the company’s customer success function, guiding organizations as they integrate real-time risk intelligence into complex, high-stakes workflows and scaling the organization. She has co-published studies with academic institutions on the use of AI-driven threat intelligence in military and security education and regularly presents on the future of intelligence tradecraft.

    With over six years of experience in the threat intelligence and SaaS sectors, Maggie brings deep expertise in customer success, renewal and growth strategy, and cross-functional collaboration. Prior to Seerist, she held roles across business development, sales, and customer strategy at early-stage technology companies, where she developed go-to-market models, built scalable processes, and supported revenue growth. Maggie holds her degree from Loyola University New Orleans and has completed executive training in decision quality from the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business.

  • Ian Wilson

    Ian Wilson

    Chairman

    Ian Wilson is the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Development of Amcor Limited and has
    worked with the organization for almost 25 years. He has extensive experience in accelerating
    organization’s global strategies, architecting and driving value transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and providing assistance as an early-stage investor.

    In addition to his seat on Seerist’s board, Ian is a Chairman and Investor at Energy Drive and a Council
    Member of the FEC (Finance & Executive) and LBC (Land & Buildings) Committees at Cheltenham Ladies’
    College. Prior to Amcor, Wilson worked at UBS Investment Bank as ​​Managing Director and Deputy
    Chairman, and as a solicitor at Baker & McKenzie.

    He has received a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney, Australia and a Master of Laws from the University of Chicago. He has also studied with INSEAD.

    Omar Balkissoon serves as Chair of the Technology & Innovation Committee at Seerist. In addition to his
    work with Seerist, Omar is the Founder and Managing Partner at ZeroGravity Capital. Earlier in his career, he supported the Office of Naval Intelligence by providing expertise in foreign weapons exploitation and co-founded OGSystems, where he served as Executive Chairman and CEO.

    Omar received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech. He currently supports Georgia Tech CREATE-X as a Council Member.

  • Robert Boyd

    Robert Boyd

    Board member

    Robert Boyd is the Managing Partner, Intelligence & Analysis. He sits on the Board and the Executive Committee.

    Robert has worked in the industry for 25 years, with extensive experience of working across Europe, Africa and Asia. He works closely with clients across a range of risks, but with a particular focus on compliance and on the provision of intelligence and analysis in support of investments. Robert has spent 12 of his 20 years with Control Risks based in Singapore, most recently as the CEO for Asia Pacific, leading Control Risks through a period of significant expansion in the region. Before moving to Asia in 2009, Robert was based in the London office and worked in various leadership roles focused on political risk, compliance due diligence and investment support business intelligence.

    Robert joined Control Risks in 2002, prior to which he worked as a case manager at Kroll and Risk Advisory Group after brief stints as a journalist at The Times and with De Beers in Angola. With a degree in modern languages from the University of Bristol, he speaks Italian and French, and reads Portuguese.

    David Orfao is a co-founder at General Catalyst, where he collaborates with exceptional product founders seeking a trusted partner to help them scale revenue, enhance operational strength, and build high-growth companies in the software, SaaS, application, information analytics, or security sectors. Prior to this role, David contributed to several pioneering technology organizations, including Lotus Development, Ashton-Tate, Frame Technology, Claris, and SQA. Most notably he led Allaire Corporation, which created Cold Fusion, the app server that launched the client-server web apps era. Under his leadership as CEO, the company grew from a small operation to over $100 million in revenue within a few years, culminating in a public offering and eventual merger with Macromedia/Adobe.

    Antonis is Partner, Chief Financial Officer, and Chair of the Audit & Compensation Committees at Control Risks. Shaping and executing the strategic vision for finance, he delivers operational excellence while embedding a culture of innovation. He is a member of Control Risks’ Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, and serves as a Non-Executive Director for Seerist, a Control Risks venture, on our behalf.

    Antonis brings over 25 years of international experience in financial and operational leadership across global professional services, software, B2B and consulting organisations. He specialises in enabling organisations to scale with clarity and confidence across diverse international markets.

    His focus is on building resilient financial foundations, championing transformation initiatives, optimising financial operations, and ensuring strong governance across markets. He is adept at driving financial transformation and managing complex, high-stakes integrations.

    Bill Udell is Chief Executive Officer of Control Risks’. He is responsible for the strategic growth and development of Control Risks’ business. In addition to his role as CEO, Bill sits on Control Risks’ Global Executive Committee.

    Before joining Control Risks, Bill served in the US Central Intelligence Agency, working as an Intelligence Analyst and Operations Officer. During this time, Bill focused on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Egyptian and North African politics and counterterrorism. As an Operations Officer, he supported human intelligence activities worldwide and completed a long-term operational assignment in a high threat environment in the Middle East.

    Bill holds a Master of Arts degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Trinity University.
